ABOUT WORST COAST COMEDY
Worst Coast Comedy was founded in 2018 by Ben Sweet, Trevor Johnson & Brian Zeolla as an alternative to the comedy status quo that existed in Jacksonville at the time. Disenfranchised by competing with football games at sports bars, middle of the road club comedy, and fighting to capture and draw in the interest of art driven, progressive minded audiences that had previously been burned by the state of comedy, the then roommates began channeling their punk rock roots and DIY sensibilities to produce shows in the living room of their shotgun house in the heart of Murray Hill. Packed to the gills and breaking every code in the book, the boys would go on to host house party shows headlined by Dave Ross, the Mean Boys and Timmy Williams from the Whitest Kids You Know.
